Family Beach Trip, Costa Rica

Here are some pictures from our beach trip last weekend. Enjoy!!

Playa Blanca (White Beach)

Levi's first time in a pool. You can't really tell from this picture, but he wasn't real crazy about it. As long as he was chest to chest with Daddy or Mommy he was fine. He did branch out a little bit after a while and started splashing the water with his hand.

Too bad we couldn't get a picture with all three kiddos, but all you out there with children understand how that goes sometimes :-)

Levi tasting the sand :-)

What a handsome little chap in his flaming swim trunks!

The happy couple :-)

Not too big to still be a little cutie pie!

Levi's little beach feet

Exploring the beach and finding treasure!

That is one sandy little lady! She is even beautiful covered head to toe in sand!

He is up to something . . .

I told you he was up to something! Samuel, you better not do that! (By the way he did it!)

Little Miss Beautiful :-)

Iva's sandy feet :-)

Baby #4!!!

This is for all of you out there that haven't heard our exciting news yet! That's right, we are expecting baby #4! I am right at 13 weeks along and the little guy or gal is due on May 15th 2009. Samuel and Iva are hoping for a baby sister and Samuel is already picking out names! We are very excited and I feel great!

And as far as the picture goes, well don't freak out on me because that isn't how big I am right now! That is just the best picture I had for the blog. That picture was actually taken when I was just a few days away from having Levi :-) I guess that gives you a little preview of the belly size that is to come!

Anyway, just wanted to share our excitement with you. We will keep you updated as the little one grows :-)

Praise the Lord and celebrate with us!!!

Prince Charming

Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband! Eight years ago I married my best friend and over these eight years our friendship and love has grown into something more special than I could have ever imagined. Our Father in heaven has truly blessed us! Are we perfect? Of course not! Without the Lord's help, we wouldn't have had 8 wonderful years together.

I can say this without a doubt in my mind, that I have been given the best man ever! I often wish I was more like him in the way that he loves and gives of himself. The Lord has made our marriage and our family amazing, but he has done it through Cohen and I still have so much to learn from him and from the Lord.

God has made Cohen the man that he is and I feel so privileged to partake in his life as his wife and the mother of his precious children. I know that the Lord is still molding him into the man that he desires him to be and I look forward to watching him continue to grow.

Today, might be just a "normal" Tuesday with "normal" Tuesday things, but in our home even amidst the "normal "everyday routine of language school, chasing kids, changing dirty diapers, assisting little ones in the bathroom, wiping little faces and hands, picking up toys, washing dishes, doing laundry, etc, etc, etc, there will be googly eyes and hugs that last a little bit longer.

Thank you Father, for Cohen! I love you Sweetie, and I feel so blessed to have had you as my sweet husband for the past 8 years and my best friend for the past 12. I can't wait to spend the rest of my days with you! Happy Anniversary!!!

Te Amo Mucho Mi Amor!

A Potty is Not a Train

This was too cute to keep to myself. Okay, I think I can officially say that Iva is potty trained! She has been doing absolutely great at telling us when she needs to go and she hasn't had any accidents in a little over a week! Praise the Lord! She is getting it!!

Anyway, I was just sitting at the computer and the kids were just put down for a nap. I hear footsteps coming and I look to see who it is. It's Iva and she has come to tell me that she needs to go potty :-) I get up right away and we head on into the bathroom and I get her all situated and walk away for a second. I come back to help her get all cleaned up and I praise her for being such a big girl and telling Mommy that she needed to go potty. She knows that she gets a treat whenever she tells us that she needs to go, so she promptly asked for some marshmallows. I told her that she would get her treat because she told me that she needed to go. I said to her, "You are doing so good! You are potty trained!" She looked up at me and said, "My potty isn't a train!" I wasn't sure I heard her correctly so I asked her to tell me what she said again and once again she said, "My potty isn't a train!" I thought that was so funny! I mean, what are the words potty and trained supposed to sound like to a 2 year old! She knows what a potty is and she knows what a train is and she knew that her potty wasn't a train! I bet she was thinking, what in the world is Mommy talking about!?! The potty is just a potty, not a train!

Anyway, like I said, I just had to share this because I knew it would make you smile :-) Iva is doing so well, and we couldn't be more proud of her! She is such a joy and we love her very much! Way to go Iva Dough! We love you!!
