Happy Birthday Belize

Today is Belize's Independence Day, September 21st.  We went to see the parade in town and here are some pictures we took.  Check out some of those floats!  You have to admit some of them were pretty creative!

It was sooooo hot, but we had a good time.  There was actually a good size parade today.  The kids got some candy thrown at them which was fun.  Poor Nathanael got hit on the head by a flying bag of dried fruit!  He didn't like that too much.  Don't worry, it was a small bag.  No damage was done.  It probably hurt his feelings more than anything.

So, Happy Birthday Belize!!!!

Never Leave an Open Dryer Unattended

This is what could happen if you leave an open dryer unattended . . . too much fun could occur while you are not looking!  I bet I would have found 3 children in there with a 4th trying to crawl in had I not seen them when I did.  Silly kiddos :-)

Birthday Cake?

Ever made a birthday cake out of salt play dough?  Well, we did last week.  It was a bit messy, but it was pretty fun!  Poor Levi missed out on the making and baking part because he was out with Daddy running errands, but he made it back just in time to sing his favorite, "Happy Birthday" and blow out some candles.  Samuel and Iva did a great job making the cake don't you think!  Of course, they had a little help from Mom :-)  Great job guys!

Cohen's Debut

Well, here it is . . . Cohen's long awaited debut. After practicing for about 6 months on a friend's guitar he was finally able to take Pastor Santos' invitation to get up in front of the Church and play a song. As you can imagine he was nervous, but felt that he was ready enough. He played and sang Amazing Grace and I think he did a great job! You can also hear the Pastor's 10 yr. old son playing the drum in the background. Here is a little snippet for you to see and hear. Enjoy!

Precious Moments

This morning at church before service started, Pastor Santos took a moment to hang out with the kiddos and play them a little song.  I happened to have the camera with me so I made sure to capture this precious moment.  It was so cute, and they were enjoying every minute of it.
