Samuel’s Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Samuel’s birthday with him yesterday.  We ate lunch out, played with new toys and had cake and ice cream for supper.  It was a great day!  Thanks to all who sent cards, birthday wishes via email and phone calls too :-)  Birthdays are so much fun!

I can’t believe I got them all to sit on this bench at once!

Thanks to my sweet Mama, I was able to make this Transformer cake.  My hat goes off to all those professional cake makers out there!  It isn’t an easy job and what a mess!  I think my finger nails are going to be dyed for a week!  I must say, it made it all worth it knowing that it was for Samuel.DSC_0543

Family Vacation 2011

It was that time of year again when we got to go on a much anticipated family vacation.  We went back to Placencia, but stayed in a different place this time.  It was probably the nicest place we have ever stayed at as a family.  We really enjoyed ourselves and are so thankful that we were able to go.  If only the days could have passed slower :-)  But, honestly, it is good to be back home again.  Here are some pics from our trip . . .

This is the place where we stayed.  I guess I forgot to take a picture of our bedroom.  It basically looked the same, just a little bigger and with double doors opening to the porch.

The Cute Things They Say

I just wanted to share a cute little thing that Levi said the other night.  It was Friday evening and I was making pizza as usual.  DSCN0114Cohen went for a quick run to the little shop at the end of our street.  Samuel, Iva and Levi tagged along with him while I fed Nathanael little balls of dough to keep him from crying because he couldn’t go too :-)  A few minutes later, they return and Cohen has a little bag of cold sodas inside.

Then with much excitement, Levi says, “Mommy, we have spicies!”  I couldn’t help but laugh.  He was referring to the sodas as being spicy, therefore he called them “spicies”.  Oh, how I hope to remember all the cute little things they say.  I don’t ever want to forget.  Those memories make me smile!
