Our Time in the States – Part 4

We were able to visit with some old friends . . .

We had some fun at a place we have never been to before . . .

Nathanael was having a grumpy moment, but hey, at least everyone else is smiling :-) Anyone who has kids knows that trying to get them all to smile during pictures is sometimes impossible . . .

And, we got to go to another fun place that we have never been to before. Not only that, but we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves! Talk about some spoilage . . .

I don’t have a good picture of the boys’ targets, but it was the girls . . . Marnie and Iva.  They did pretty good though.  Marnie even hit Levi right in the forhead!  Good aim Marnie :-) We tried our hand at some archery . . . Daddy and Mommy even got a turn!  It was pretty fun actually! We really didn’t do too bad . . . The water gun maze . . . Really, these two weren’t the ones that should have been in the stocks.  If anything it should have been Nathanael.  He was pretty cranky during this outing because he had a cold.  Poor guy, but he had a little nap in the stroller and then some lunch and was pretty much as good as new.Mini putt-putt with some pretty crazy water obstacles . . .  Not really sure what this was called, but you get the idea . . . All of the kids wanted to ride the bumper cars, but Samuel was the only one big enough.  He and Cohen had a blast! You can’t tell from these pictures, but Samuel was ready to get off of this ride pretty quick.  He wasn’t so crazy about the upside down part. I can’t say I blame him, but way to go for trying! Look at that smile . . . Panning for gems . . . They make cute little native American Indians don’t they . . .

12 Years and Counting . . .

On November 4th 2000, I married my best friend.  And this year that makes 12 years.  But if you add in the years we dated, then that would make a total of 16 years together.  I feel like I have known him my whole life and can’t imagine life without him.  Every year I love him more!  He is a wonderful husband . . . much better than I deserve and I am so thankful for him.  I couldn’t have asked for anyone better.  He is also an amazing father and we are all so blessed to have him in our lives.  I sure do love this guy!  Happy Anniversary to us!!!

Our Time in the States – Part 3

Since our time at the beach was cut short due to the tropical storm/hurricane we decided to head back to Birmingham.  We then spent some time at the McWane Science center instead.
