Our Time in the States – Part 4

We were able to visit with some old friends . . .

We had some fun at a place we have never been to before . . .

DSC_0072crop DSC_0074 DSC_0083 DSC_0086crop DSC_0091 Nathanael was having a grumpy moment, but hey, at least everyone else is smiling :-) Anyone who has kids knows that trying to get them all to smile during pictures is sometimes impossible . . .DSC_0096

And, we got to go to another fun place that we have never been to before. Not only that, but we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves! Talk about some spoilage . . .

DSC_0101crop I don’t have a good picture of the boys’ targets, but it was the girls . . . Marnie and Iva.  They did pretty good though.  Marnie even hit Levi right in the forhead!  Good aim Marnie :-) DSC_0107 We tried our hand at some archery . . .DSC_0111crop DSC_0112crop DSC_0115crop Daddy and Mommy even got a turn!  It was pretty fun actually!DSC_0116 DSC_0118 We really didn’t do too bad . . .DSC_0119crop DSC_0127crop The water gun maze . . .DSC_0128 DSC_0129 DSC_0132 DSC_0133Really, these two weren’t the ones that should have been in the stocks.  If anything it should have been Nathanael.  He was pretty cranky during this outing because he had a cold.  Poor guy, but he had a little nap in the stroller and then some lunch and was pretty much as good as new.DSC_0134cropMini putt-putt with some pretty crazy water obstacles . . .  DSC_0140crop DSC_0143Not really sure what this was called, but you get the idea . . . DSC_0149 All of the kids wanted to ride the bumper cars, but Samuel was the only one big enough.  He and Cohen had a blast! DSC_0155 DSC_0158 You can’t tell from these pictures, but Samuel was ready to get off of this ride pretty quick.  He wasn’t so crazy about the upside down part. I can’t say I blame him, but way to go for trying!DSC_0167 DSC_0170 DSC_0171 Look at that smile . . .DSC_0172 Panning for gems . . .DSC_0173 DSC_0174 DSC_0184crop DSC_0185 DSC_0188 DSC_0190They make cute little native American Indians don’t they . . .DSC_0195 crop

12 Years and Counting . . .

On November 4th 2000, I married my best friend.  And this year that makes 12 years.  But if you add in the years we dated, then that would make a total of 16 years together.  I feel like I have known him my whole life and can’t imagine life without him.  Every year I love him more!  He is a wonderful husband . . . much better than I deserve and I am so thankful for him.  I couldn’t have asked for anyone better.  He is also an amazing father and we are all so blessed to have him in our lives.  I sure do love this guy!  Happy Anniversary to us!!!

*These pics are a bit dated, but I love them and haven’t shared them with you yet :-)DSC_0013edit bw cinemascope   DSC_0018-001bw cinemascope DSC_0019-001bw cinemascope DSC_0022-001bw cinemascope

Our Time in the States – Part 3

Since our time at the beach was cut short due to the tropical storm/hurricane we decided to head back to Birmingham.  We then spent some time at the McWane Science center instead.
