Here are some snapshots of Levi having a "splash" in his new "bath/shower". I don't know what I should call it, but it is actually a shower with a pretty deep instep, probably about 6 inches or so. We just plug up the drain and begin the filling process. He has so much room to splash around in; he has a great time. I can just see the excitement in his eyes as I am getting him undressed :-) At first I didn't really like it because he gets me really wet and it is hard to chase him all over the place in order to bath him, but now I just put him in and let him do his thing and then I bathe him and that has been working out much better.
Bath time is interesting in another aspect because we don't have hot water! Don't worry, we don't stick our children in cold water to bathe them; there is a process that we have to go through to make sure their bath water is nice and warm. First of all, our showers have something on the shower head called a "widow maker" and it is called that for a very good reason. It is electric; it heats the water as it flows through the shower head. The reason it is called a "widow maker" is because it will give you a nice little shock if you touch it in the wrong place while showering. Don't worry, I don't think it will actually live up to its name in our house. We get the water warm that way and we also heat up a few pots of water on the stove to make sure the temp is just right for the little ones. It works out great, it just takes a little longer to get bath time underway.
