Where is the water??? We have been without water now for about three days and we are not alone in this. If what we hear is correct, 400,000 are without water! That number sounds really high and I hope it isn't correct, but for the ones that are without water right now it is really difficult, especially if they weren't prepared.
We were extremely blessed to have water from our rain catcher for a few days, but as of last night it is dry. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. We are so thankful that we had it as long as we did. One family who are friends of ours even got to reap some of the benefits. The photo you see above is a snapshot of where the problem started. We don't know all the information but we do know that this huge pipe (which supplies water to several towns) was damaged badly and has been very difficult to repair. We have been told several different things as to when the water will flow again and so far seeing is believing and as of yet we haven't seen or believed. We are hoping the water will be back sometime today. That is the word anyway :-)
You don't know what you've got until it is taken away. We haven't had a shower in three days (yikes) and doing the normal everyday things that you are used to is very difficult when there is a lack of water. Think about all the ways you use water during the day and it will amaze you at how much you depend on that precious flow. Things like this make us a little homesick, but we have to remember that everyday the Lord is teaching us to be more like Jesus. Cohen reminded me of this the other day and then I replied with a smile, "And He was dirty?" I was only kidding of course :-)
Lord, help us to be patient in this and remember how we had a source of water in the beginning while many have had none at all and still are waiting.
