Every Saturday Cohen goes to the local farmer's market here by our house and gets lots of yummy fresh produce. When he gets home he washes them all and puts everything on the counter to dry. Levi has figured this out and has on multiple occasions gotten on his stool to try to steal a treat. He has succeeded a few times as well. This time we caught him in the act of stealing an apple. It was hard not to laugh and of course we let him have the apple. He loves them and he ate the whole thing wanting even more after that! That boy! :-)

I Can Feed Myself!
Levi really wants to be an independent little guy. Sometimes he really makes a fuss at the table and it is all because he wants to do it all his way or not at all. Sometimes he lets me help, but at other times he totally refuses. Meal time is definitely easier when he lets me help him out just a bit :-) Even when he goes completely solo, he does pretty good. I may have to clean oatmeal off the seat of is pants, the chair, the table, the floor, his sleeves, his face, hands and hair, but hey that is all part of it right; at least we have a happy baby!!
He loves to feed himself and he gets so excited! We are proud of him for trying so hard and doing so well. I don't remember when I learned how to use a spoon, but I'm sure I made a lot of messes too! Sorry Mom :-)

Yes We Are Alive!
Yes we are alive and no I haven't forgot about blogging. Sorry I have gotten really behind lately :-( Our last trimester of school has started and needless to say things have been kind of busy around here. Just so you don't loose interest in visiting my blog I am posting some pictures of our very adorable children from our Christmas visit back home in Alabama. Samuel and Iva made a very beautiful ginger bread house, the kids got to feed carrots to some very cute donkeys, they got to fish for surprises at one of the family get togethers, Samuel found a huge frog and brought it inside for everyone to see, and yes that is a real Harley Davidson that Samuel is sitting on!
Please don't give up on me and my blogging :-) Things are going great here and we are really enjoying our language learning this trimester. We only have about 12 more weeks here before we will be heading back to Alabama. Our time is starting to come to an end here, but we are so thankful for the time that we have had. We have learned a lot and are still learning. Thank you to all of you out there that have been praying for us and have helped us financially. You are such a blessing! More that you could ever know!

Earthquake!
Just about an hour ago we had an earthquake. I have been hearing that it was a 6.2. All I know is that I never want to feel a bigger one! We are fine, it was just a little un-nerving is all. Cohen had just left to go meet with a friend and I was just putting the kiddos down for a nap. We had just started reading a book when the house started shaking and rumbling. We have had them here before, but never quite like this. It lasted for several seconds which seemed like a lot longer to us then it was over. Cohen of course came right home to make sure everything was okay here at the house. I'm sure people here think we freak out a little too easy, but when you aren't use to riding out earthquakes it can freak you out a little bit :-) We have even had several tremors in the past hour.
One thing that is funny though . . . I had just read the title of the book to the kids when the earthquake started and after everything calmed down I started reading the book again. But before I even got started Samuel said, "The last time you read that, the earthquake happened. I hope it doesn't do it again!" I just laughed and said that it wouldn't happen again. That is a powerful book, huh!?!
We are just very thankful that it wasn't any worse. Thank You Father for taking care of us!

Yeah!!!
Our luggage has arrived!!! It is almost as if someone sent us three large gift packages from the States! We are so excited to see our stuff again; it is like we are seeing all of it for the first time. Right now Cohen, Samuel and Iva are having a party in the living room going through all of the goodies we brought back. We thank the Lord for getting our luggage back to us safe and sound! Now it is my turn to join the party :-)

Home Sweet Home
We're back home in Costa Rica!!! Safe and sound, praise the Lord, just very pooped. Samuel feel asleep somewhere around 4:30 this afternoon and he is still snoozing at 11 pm! I wonder what time he is going to rise and shine in the morning? I just hope the sun is shining when he wakes :-)
After a good nights sleep we are hoping to have a good day tomorrow. We are also hoping and praying that our luggage makes it to us tomorrow just as we packed it. Our first flight was delayed so they put us on a different flight so we wouldn't miss our connecting flight in Florida. The catch is that they put us on a totally different airline for our first flight and told us that our luggage would be flying out the next day. They gave us the option of staying another night in Atlanta and flying out the next morning, but we opted to head on to Costa Rica without our luggage.
We figured that we could survive at least one night without our things. Have you ever had to use a doll's brush to comb your hair? Lets just say that I am thankful that we have a little girl, because without her there would be no doll brush :-) Of course that isn't the only reason I am thankful for our little princess, but you get the idea. I am also thankful for our washer and dryer because without those, I couldn't wash the clothes on my back and I would have to wear the same clothes I wore today tomorrow! And, well, Cohen might just have to use my deodorant for one day, but at least he will be taken care of :-) We shall survive! But we are still looking forward to seeing our luggage again.
Oh, its good to be home! Now, I am off to bed for that much needed rest!! Goodnight :-)
