Another Birthday Come and Gone

So, I am now 33 years young . . .

I got the special treatment for my birthday this year.  I woke to Iva leading me into the dining room to show me “My Birthday” which was actually birthday decorations that Cohen had put up for me.  And of course I got “Happy Birthday” from all around. 

Later on, Iva drew me some pictures (this girl loves to draw) and Samuel spent some of his own money to buy me a snickers (yum, yum).  Such thoughtful touches to my special day! 

Also . . . Cohen baked me a birthday cake.  (Can you see the heart shape he made in the icing? I think that made it sweeter!)  Usually I am the birthday cake maker, but not this time.  I was touched!  And, it was so yummy!  This was his first cake ever!  So, since he did such a great job . . . maybe I will get one next year too :-)  Of course, we had ice cream with out cake and since it was Friday I made pizza for supper!  It was a good day!

I can’t forget to mention the cards and all the emails I received from family and friends.  They made my day even more special!

My birthday was the last birthday to be celebrated in 2011 for our family.  Next up is Iva’s and she will start us off for 2012.  So, no more birthday cake for a while :-(  But that will just make her birthday more anticipated!
