An Early Surprise

Gifts came early this year as a friends of the family, Mr. Chuck and Ms. Margaret, sent a goody box to the kiddos . . . DSC_0127 DSC_0129 DSC_0135 DSC_0136 DSC_0137 DSC_0140Then, gifts came early once again . . . Since we will be traveling to the States just two days after Christmas, we wanted our children to be able to have some fun with their toys before we leave.  So . . .

Thanksgiving

I made my very first pumpkin pies . . .DSC_0093 Hannah, Bob and Mali . . . They just look like they are up to something if you ask me!DSC_0095 Bob and RhondaDSC_0096 Ashlie, Cody and one of their girls, CammieDSC_0097 Levi and Cody WayneDSC_0099crop Iva and NathanaelDSC_0101 Rhonda and Kamala chatting.  Kamala and her daughter, Mali, regularly come to Belize to do dental work (Kamala, is actually “Dr. Kamala”) and they also enjoy doing puppet shows for the children at local schools.DSC_0102 The Ladies and Samuel.  He knows where the best seat is!DSC_0105 Cohen posing with Mali and the new Bose sound system that she and her mom, Kamala, donated to the ministry.  We were actually told by her mom, that Mali was the one who saved up her own money to by this . . . incredible! We had a full house, lots of yummy food and a great evening of fellowship . . . Thankful indeed!

Back to School

No, we didn’t just start back to school . . . but I am just now posting about it.  We started back on October 8th and things have been going really well.  We  have a 3rd Grader, a 1st Grader, a Kindergartener and a 3 year old sweetie who plays, plays, plays.

Cohen teaches them Bible first thing, which they absolutely love because he does such a wonderful job.  In the meantime I am cleaning up from breakfast and trying to get any morning chores done (or started) as well as get their school stuff in order for the day. We have a pretty good schedule that works for us.  Now I wonder what things are going to look like when baby brother arrives???

Here are our little scholars . . .

Here is a picture that I snapped one morning while Cohen was teaching . . .

The kiddos have been doing great this school year and have been learning so much.  It is really exciting and such a privilege for us to see them learning and growing day by day.

Losing Teeth . . .

Well, since we have returned to Belize our kiddos have been losing more teeth.  Iva lost one of her top teeth shortly after we arrived back.  And then just recently, Levi lost his very first bottom tooth.  They were both so excited, especially Levi since this was his first.  Iva will actually be losing another one very soon, or so we are hoping.  Samuel has some loose teeth as well, so he is on the tooth fairy radar. Nathanael is wondering when he will lose some, but we are telling him that he still has a little while to go.

Here is Iva with her new grin . . .

Our Time in the States – Part 5

This post should rap up our time in the States and then I can begin posting newer pictures from our time back here in Belize.

We were able to visit my Aunt and Uncle’s lot at the lake and have a little wave runner fun!

I’m sure you will notice that there are no pictures of Nathanael . . . yes, we left him behind at my Mom’s house for the day.  We just figured that this really wouldn’t be his thing and that he would probably enjoy some 1 on 1 time with Beebe instead.

DSC_0200 DSC_0201 DSC_0202 DSC_0204 DSC_0205 DSC_0206 DSC_0208 DSC_0209 I think Levi had some growing room in his life jacket, don’t you???DSC_0214 They sure did have a blast!DSC_0217

We also got to visit our friends, The Bradfields, in Tennessee.  Some friends are just worth traveling to visit! I wish we could have stayed longer, but the time we spent was great.  I just wish we would have gotten a picture of me and Amanda :-(

This has now become a tradition of theirs . . . Every time they get to visit with each other, they just have to do this!  Hilarious!DSC_0001 Not only were we visiting, but another friend and her 3 kiddos were visiting as well.  It was like a small reunion.  And, with so many kiddos they had to be creative in finding a spot to sit down and eat.DSC_0002DSC_0003 Too sweet . . . Lexi playing with Nathanael.DSC_0005 Our kiddos aren’t that familiar with the Wii, but I know they enjoyed it.  Check out those game faces . . . too funny!DSC_0006 DSC_0007

Cohen and I also got to take a little getaway to the Alabama coast for a couple of days all by ourselves.  Unfortunately, we really didn’t get any good pictures.  Even though Cohen had a bit of a cold, and I was feeling the aches and pains of pregnancy . . . we still had a wonderful time.  Of course we did miss those kiddos!
