Fun Visiting with Family

We had a great time visiting with Gran-Stan, Nana and Chico and also Great Uncle Brian and Great Aunt LouAnne.

Fun at the McWane Center

A good friend of ours invited us to the McWane Science Center and we had a blast! Thanks Debbie!

Great Pap-Paw Visits

Samuel thought Pap-Paw's big white truck was so great!

While Samuel and Iva were busy playing and doing big kid things, Levi soaked up some time with his Great Pap-Paw. I think Pap-Paw was soaking it up too!

Christmas Memories 2007

Christmas was busy as usual, but we enjoyed our time with family very much. Can you tell??? Even though Christmas is always hustle and Bustle and somewhat crazy and tiring, we tried to do our best to stay focused. Thank you Father for a wonderful Christmas and thank You for the reason we celebrate!

The Lord is so Awesome!

Something so amazing happened today and I have to share it. Cohen and I decided to have a family day today and just enjoy each other since he had been away all last week taking a class. We were going to go to a park and let the kids play, but it was just too cold for that so our plans changed a bit. We played in the back yard until we froze and then Cohen said, "Why don't we go to the Cracker Barrel for lunch today since we have a gift card." I thought it might be hard with all three children, but I also thought it might be a fun outing for all of us. So off to Cracker Barrel we went.

We were having a great time hanging out with each other as we waited for our food to come. We had just begun eating when an older lady approached us and started patting Cohen on the back saying that she knows his mom and that she recognized us from where she was sitting. She introduced herself and talked to us for a bit and the children too of course. She was really sweet and just loved the children. She even knew how much Levi weighed when he was born from when Cohen's mom told her a while back! After talking with us for a moment she said that she would like to pay for our meal! We couldn't believe it! How kind that was of her to offer that!! We thanked her and thanked her again as she headed back to her table.

Cohen looked at me and said, "You are not going to believe this, but just a moment ago I had a feeling that someone was going to offer to pay for our meal and I said to myself, 'Lord if You do this I will be assured that You are behind us in our upcoming plans (in our support raising and our hopes to be in Costa Rica by April of 2008 and in our wanting to be in Belize for full-time ministry).'" When he told me this, I said, "Are you serious?!?!" I could hardly believe my ears! Things like this don't just happen to us. It is not like Cohen to sit around wondering if someone might pay for our meal; I mean, we had a gift card for crying outloud. It also isn't like him to test the Lord by saying, "If You do this Lord, I will know that you are serious and that You are behind us." This was very out of the ordinary, but very awesome!

This encourages us and we are so thankful to the Lord for His goodness. He didn't have to do this today, but He did and it fans the flame in our hearts even more. We have been contimplating being in Costa Rica by April, and now we know we will be. I get chill bumbs just thinking about it! The Lord is so Awesome!

Thank You Father!

Cloth Diapers Oh My!

Check out our cute diaper models!!!

Well, it's official, we have made the switch to cloth diapers! I use to say "No Way," to even the thought of them, but now I am convinced that they really are a great idea. It is a little more work but not too much and so far I'm loving them! Cohen even thinks that they are pretty cool! You can't beat that and in the long run they are going to save us lots of $$$ They are pretty cute too :-) If you can't tell, I am pretty excited about our new cloth diaper adventure.

Milestones, Silly Moments and Giving Thanks

Levi is starting to sit up on his own! He is so cute and proud of himself.

I'm flying Mommy!

I had to take these pics of Iva. I was laying on the floor taking pics of Levi and she took the opportunity to climb on my back and "conquer" me; she was having a great time overtaking Mommy.

I decided to let Levi experiment with a sippy cup. "How does this thing work?"

Marnie helped Samuel make this cool turkey. The feathers tell what all he is thankful for: "Daddy, feathers, God, chickens, Clyde (the dog next door), Levi, Samuel, hot dogs, Sissy, Mommy, Marnie, food, fish, and Grandaddy. I'm sure he would have listed more if he had a larger turkey! He thought of all of these things on his own. He is a thankful little guy!

I just love our children! They make me smile so often! And they make me cry often too but we aren't going to talk about that right now :-)

74 Years and 6 Months

On November 7th, just two days ago my grandmother, "Nannie", celebrated her 74th birthday. She had a big day spent with my Pap-Paw in Missouri. They took a special trip just for her birthday. That very same night, she passed away in her sleep. 74 years to the day of her birth, my Nannie was standing before the Lord. Very unexpected, but very much a blessing that she didn't suffer. I know that is the way she would have wanted it. She was a wonderful wife, mother to 4, grandmother to 3, and great grandmother to 3. She loved us all very much and we will always love her.
On that very same day, her youngest great grand baby celebrated his first 1/2 year of life. I wish she could see how big he has grown and what a sweetheart he is. She has only seen him once since he was born. He will never know her, but I will never forget her; I was her first grand baby and Levi was her last great grand baby.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Are you ready? We only have one chance at this life we are given and we never know what day will be our last. Live each day for Christ and you won't be disappointed even if your death comes unexpectedly. To G0d be the glory!

7 Is a Great Number!

Well, it's November 4, 2007 and 7 years ago this day, Cohen and I were married. It has been a wonderful 7 years! It seems as though it was just yesterday that we met, but in actuality, that was 11 years ago! When we started out 7 years ago, it was just us and that was wonderful; now we have 3 beautiful children and things are even more wonderful! Happy Anniversary Cohen thank you for 7 amazing years and thank you most of all Lord for making them amazing!
