Even though Nathanael was in the hospital this Mother's Day, it was still a very good day. I got to spend my day with him in the hospital and when I got there, the nurses had made a sweet little card for me and stuck it on his little crib. Also, a lady and her 12 year old son came by to visit the NICU to give all of the mommies a sweet poem, book mark and some lotion from Bath and Body Works. My sweetest gift of all came when I got home and saw the most beautiful decoration on our front door. And behind the door I saw three sweet smiling faces and my wonderful husband. They were so excited to see me and tell me, "Happy Mother's Day!" They also had a potted flower for me that they had help decorate at Church and they had some cards for me. I was tired from being at the hospital all day, but how sweet it was to be able to hold Nathanael all day and then come home to three excited little ones and my wonderful husband that helped get them so excited. I am so blessed :-)
As far as an update goes . . . I have been at the hospital all day today (Monday), but it was a good day. Nathanael is doing great, we just have to let him get through his antibiotics. He will finish them on Thursday and should come home that day. They said that he does have an infection in his right lung, but that the antibiotics should clear it up. They are doing another x-ray on his chest in the morning and Lord willing it will look better. He seems perfectly healthy to me, but we just have to get rid of that infection in his lungs. Otherwise, he is doing great and yes he has been eating :-) and doing great at it. He has been taking a bottle for them at night and doing well with that also. We are ready for him to come home. We just want him to be healthy. I will go to the hospital tomorrow and Wednesday and, Lord willing, we will be bringing him home on Thursday.
Thanks for praying for our littlest little man :-) Please keep Cohen in your prayers too, he has a lot on his shoulders as well. He has been with the kiddos all day yesterday and today and we have a few more days to go. He is great at being "Mr. Mom", but I know he gets tired too.
