If you know us, then you know how special Friday nights are in the Ezelle home. Fridays are our pizza and movie nights and we look forward to them every week. However, here in Belize you can't just stop by the local pizza parlor (there is one, but a bit expensive) or pick up one out of the freezer section at the grocery store. So, in desperation, I attempted to make my own (by following a recipe of course). I have never actually made my own pizza until last Friday night and it actually turned out! Man, I was so excited :-) Was it the best pizza that I ever had? No, of course not, but in my opinion, it was pretty close :-) We didn't have any disappointed taste buds at our table :-)

I have been going through your blog. LOL So, much to comment on. Your child that just started school is probably going to be special cause he is your firstborn. There is just something different about them. My firstborn is almost thirTEEN!
I wanted to share my pizza dough recipe with you. It is so simple and SO good.
About 3 cups of flour (unbleached white is preferred)
1 package of dry yeast (or 2 1/4 teaspoons)
1/4 teaspoons of salt
1 cup of lukewarm water
2 tablespoons of oil
You just mix all the ingredients together and then knead it like bread dough for 10 minutes(it should not feel sticky but not be hard either).
Then you let it rest for 10 minutes while you get other ingredients out.
I can make one LARGE pizza crust on a big, pampered chef stone with this. You could probably feed your family with just that. We have six kids so we make 2 or preferably 3 of them.
Anyhow, roll the crust out, cover it in sauce and then toppings and then bake at 375 for about 22 minutes. Give or take 5 minutes depending on the oven.
I use stoneware and you can't tell it isn't from a pizza shop. It is really affordable to make them yourself too.
